Is CornerCat actually free? +
Yes. MP3 and MP4 downloads from YouTube, X / Twitter, TikTok, and Instagram videos and reels are free. The optional navy blue desktop cat and Liquid Glass appearance are free too. Pro adds the extra tools, colors, and appearances for €4.99/month.
Which links can I download? +
CornerCat supports YouTube, X / Twitter, TikTok, and Instagram videos and reels. All four platforms are free, without a subscription. Availability depends on the post and platform. Private posts or posts that require a login may not work, and MP3 needs an available audio track.
Where do my downloads go? +
Choose a dedicated folder in the app. CornerCat saves your files there, so you always know where to find them. Conversions and compressed copies have their own remembered folders too.
Do I need to keep a cat on my desktop? +
No. CornerCat lives in your menu bar. You can turn on the navy blue seated mascot in Settings for free. Extra cat colors come with Pro. Think of it as a very quiet roommate.
How do I get CornerCat Pro? +
Download and open CornerCat, then go to Settings → Account. Sign in with your email and choose Upgrade. You’ll complete the €4.99/month subscription through Stripe’s secure checkout. You can manage your subscription from the same tab.
Does it work on my Mac? +
This download is for Apple Silicon Macs—M1 and newer—running macOS 12 or later. Media helpers run natively on Apple Silicon and don’t need Rosetta or a Terminal setup.
